How the training shoe finder works

We ask only the questions that change which training & lifting shoes suit you. How do you train? Heel preference? Will you run in them? Each answer maps to the specs we record for every product — taken from the brand’s own product page — so the reasons you see on the results page can be checked.

Some answers are hard requirements. If a product can’t meet one (say, a size range, width or pocket you need), it drops out; if almost nothing is left, we show the closest options and tell you what each one misses. Everything else is a preference that tilts the ranking, with our editorial comfort, performance, durability and value ratings breaking ties. We don’t store anything but anonymous answers, and there’s no email gate.
